Concho VINE Is Now IVSS
The Concho County Sheriff routes custody-status users to VINELink rather than publishing a local roster. That link remains a useful local signpost, but its name is dated. Texas replaced the legacy county VINE platform with Texas IVSS-Counties on September 1, 2025. The Texas Attorney General transition notice explains the change and states that existing VINE registrations carried over.
Use IVSS-Counties for a person held by a participating county jail. Use TDCJ IVSS for a person in TDCJ custody or on Texas parole or mandatory supervision. Mandatory supervision is a statutory form of supervised release. The systems have related purposes, but they draw from different custodians. A result in one does not imply coverage in the other.
Find the Concho Custodian
The first step is local even though the portal is statewide. The Texas Commission on Jail Standards labels Concho “no jail.” A Concho arrest is normally followed by transport to an outside receiving facility, but research did not establish one permanent adult-housing partner. Do not pick a jail based on an old directory or an unrelated case.
Call the Sheriff’s Paint Rock office at 325-732-4312 or Eden Law Enforcement Center dispatch at 325-869-4941 or 325-869-2222. Dispatch is available around the clock. Give the person’s full name, date of birth, approximate arrest date, and arresting agency. Ask which facility accepted custody. Then search that custodian in IVSS-Counties and contact the jail if no result appears.
Eden Detention Center is not the county receiving jail by default. It is a private federal contract facility whose listed customer base includes the U.S. Marshals Service. A person held there may require USMS, BOP, ICE, facility, or federal court channels rather than county IVSS.
Search Concho County IVSS
The live interface controls which identity fields are offered. Do not assume a field or status phrase that is not shown. Search by the name or identifier options available, compare the matching person and custodian, and open the record before relying on an event. A middle name, suffix, alias, or date of birth may help separate similar matches.

The portal image is a navigation reference. It does not establish that every outside jail used for a Concho arrest participates or that any named person was released.
Concho IVSS Release Fields
IVSS is a status and notification service. The exact fields depend on the live record and contributing custodian, so record only what appears. Never fill a blank with a guess. A status label should be copied with its date and facility because the same word can be misunderstood when a person has moved between systems.

A release event is not a certified book-out certificate. Ask the jail for its booking-out log to establish the physical exit time. Ask the court or release authority for the legal reason. If the destination names another custodian, continue the search there rather than saying the person returned to the community.
Register for Concho Release Alerts
An IVSS account can provide notice when a selected event is reported. Available phone, text, and email options must be taken from the current account screen. Keep contact details accurate and review which person and events are attached to the subscription. A notification can arrive after the underlying event because the custodian must first report the change.

- Create an account or sign in to an existing account.
- Locate the person and confirm identity and custodian.
- Choose the available events and contact methods shown by IVSS.
- Complete the contact or account confirmation requested on screen.
- Save the preferences, then review the account for accuracy.
Registrations carried from legacy VINE may prompt a password update on first use of the new portal. Legacy VINE phone alerts used a four-digit PIN followed by the pound key for acknowledgment. That is historical guidance only. The current authenticated IVSS confirmation process was not verified, so a PIN step must not be assumed.

Check Concho TDCJ Status
A state prisoner or person on parole or mandatory supervision belongs in TDCJ IVSS, not the county portal. TDCJ IVSS can provide status information and subscriptions for changes such as release. Confirm a state result with the TDCJ Inmate Search and, when the date matters, TDCJ Classification and Records.
TDCJ’s offender record may include a TDCJ or SID number, location, offense, county and court, sentence, projected release date, parole-review information, and scheduled release data when posted. A projected date is an estimate based on current records. It is not an actual discharge. TDCJ search information is at least 24 hours old and updates on working days, so IVSS and the offender record may not change at the same moment.

This state interface covers TDCJ custody and supervision. It does not recreate a host county jail’s book-out record.
Concho VINE Search Limits
No match is not proof that a person was released. The host jail may not participate, a feed may lag, a name may differ, or the person may have transferred. Try verified name variants and identifiers. Then contact the actual custodian. Likewise, a release alert can mean release from that reporting facility while another authority immediately takes custody.

IVSS does not replace the BOP Inmate Locator, ICE Online Detainee Locator, USMS confirmation, or federal court records. “Not in BOP custody” does not rule out ICE, Marshals, state, or local custody. For an Eden detainee, first identify the legal custodian and then use the tool for that system.
For release time, obtain the receiving jail’s booking-out log. For legal reason, obtain the court order or other release authority. The broader Concho County released inmate lookup connects those records when a search extends beyond a notification event.
Note: Treat every IVSS alert as a prompt to verify the event with the reporting facility and any destination agency.
Verify Concho IVSS Alerts
Notification timing and legal release timing are separate. A court may authorize release before jail processing ends. A jail may report an event after a physical move. A transfer can trigger a status change while the person stays confined elsewhere. Save the alert date, event date, facility name, and any identifier shown. Then request the host’s release record and destination field. This creates a clear chain without treating a brief phone, text, or email notice as the whole file.
Security matters as well. Use contact details that the registrant controls, protect the IVSS account password, and review old subscriptions. If a carried-over VINE account cannot be accessed, follow the current portal’s recovery prompts rather than relying on an old PIN. Do not publish another person’s identifiers or alert preferences. The goal is timely notice and accurate confirmation.
When the person is under state supervision, a release from prison may begin parole or mandatory supervision instead of ending the sentence. TDCJ IVSS can report relevant changes, while TDCJ and the Parole Division hold the official status. A full discharge ends the supervision obligation. The distinction affects which office can confirm the next stage.
